Fluorochemical Market for Turkey, November 2026: Firm China HF Contracts, Stable Fluorspar

November 2026 fluorochemical commentary for Turkish buyers: China AHF contracts RMB 15,300–15,650/t, stable fluorspar, Turkey HF import structure, and takeaways for pickling, glass and flotation.

This month's industry news commentary is written for purchasing and process engineers in Turkey: stainless pickling lines that run nitric–HF baths, glass frosting and etching shops using ammonium bifluoride, formulators who dose hydrofluoric acid into industrial cleaners, and mineral processors that rely on fluoride reagents in flotation. We selected public data that matter for Turkish import planning. Every figure links to its source; the interpretation is ours.

1. China: November AHF contracts firm while fluorspar holds a wide band

ChemPriceHub's 3 November note put mainstream November anhydrous hydrofluoric acid (AHF) contract references at RMB 15,300–15,650/t and 97% wet fluorspar powder delivered at RMB 3,300–3,800/t. October AHF capacity utilisation was reported at about 59%. Regional fluorspar quotes differed — for example Inner Mongolia around RMB 3,300–3,400/t delivered versus Zhejiang/Jiangsu closer to RMB 3,600–3,700/t on the same day — but the overall tone was wait-and-see rather than a fresh spike (ChemPriceHub, 3 Nov 2026).

SunSirs earlier described October domestic fluorite as slightly softer month-on-month, with many HF plants still near ~50% operating rates and under pressure from losses; northern plant shutdowns had tightened spot availability even while buyers pushed back on spar prices (SunSirs October fluorite review). Read together with ChemPriceHub's November contract band, the picture for Turkish buyers is: feedstock spar is range-bound, but AHF contract levels for November are firm enough that aqueous HF and ABF offers are unlikely to soften quickly.

What it means for Turkey: most Turkish industrial users import finished aqueous HF or ABF rather than making acid from fluorspar. A firm China AHF contract usually feeds into export quotes for solutions and bifluoride within weeks. If Q4 or early-Q1 pickling and glass programmes are already booked, locking volume and packaging now is more useful than waiting for a lower spot print that may not arrive.

2. Downstream fluoride salts: AlF₃ tenders steady; refrigerants in off-season

SMM's fluoride-salt weekly review (published 5 November) reported aluminium fluoride tender prices largely stable, with mainstream AlF₃ quotations about RMB 12,800–13,200/t and cryolite about RMB 8,300–9,000/t. Fluorite supply stayed tight under ongoing safety and environmental inspections; Mongolian imports helped the north but arrivals were below expectations. Refrigerants were in the traditional off-season, with operating rates still pulling back under quota pressure (SMM Fluoride Salt Weekly Review, 5 Nov 2026).

What it means for Turkey: aluminium fluoride and cryolite are not the main Turkish import story for most of our readers, but they show that China's fluorine chain is not collapsing into a fire-sale. Off-season refrigerants reduce one large domestic HF sink; that can free some AHF for export-oriented aqueous grades, yet it does not automatically cut export offers when contracts and cost floors remain firm. Turkish buyers should treat "China is quiet on refrigerants" as context, not as a guarantee of lower CIF Marmara or Izmir prices.

3. Turkey's HF import map: China already the largest supplier

World Bank WITS / UN Comtrade data for 2023 show Turkey's hydrofluoric acid imports under HS 281111 at about USD 3.37 million and 2,485 tonnes. China was the largest partner (~USD 2.67 million / ~2,028 t), ahead of Spain and Germany (WITS / Comtrade 2023, Turkey imports HS 281111). Those figures are a few years old, but the structure still matches what we see in inquiry patterns: Chinese producers already cover the bulk of Turkey's HF tonnage, with European material often serving specialty or existing framework contracts.

What it means for Turkey: diversifying away from China is not the default for cost-driven pickling and glass work. What matters more is supplier reliability — dual-use export licensing, consistent assay, SDS/COA discipline, and packaging that Turkish ports and warehouses can handle. Ask for CIF quotes into Ambarlı, Izmir, Mersin or your preferred port rather than comparing only China ex-works numbers.

4. Brief Europe note (for exporters of finished goods, not a Turkey-primary driver)

As of early November 2026 the EU's proposed universal PFAS REACH restriction is still not in force; SEAC's final opinion is expected toward the end of 2026. The restriction debate targets organic PFAS chemistry, not inorganic industrial HF or ammonium bifluoride as such. Fluorspar remains on the EU critical-raw-materials list, with recycling rates still very low (on the order of ~1% in recent EU Chemicals Platform / TriFluorium communications). Turkish exporters who ship stainless, glass or treated parts into the EU may get supply-chain questionnaires; that is different from a ban on buying HF/ABF for domestic Turkish processing. Keep Europe short in your RFQs unless the end customer is explicitly asking for PFAS documentation.

Application checklist for Turkish buyers

Sourcing HF, ABF or fluosilicic acid for Turkey?

ANFA Chemical manufactures inorganic fluorides in Hangzhou, China (ANFA CHEMICAL HZ CO LTD) and supplies hydrofluoric acid, ammonium bifluoride and fluosilicic acid to industrial buyers. Ammonium bifluoride is EU REACH registered. SDS and COA are provided once an inquiry is confirmed. HF and ABF ship under dual-use export licences. Send product, grade, monthly volume, packaging and Turkish destination port via our contact page or [email protected]. US company ANFA Company LLC (Wyoming) is our US company entity — not a production plant or sales office for Turkey shipments.
