NH4HF2

Ammonium Bifluoride

White needle-like crystals, deliquescent and prone to caking; soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol. The aqueous solution is acidic and attacks glass. Decomposes into ammonia and hydrogen fluoride on heating.

Overview

Ammonium bifluoride is ANFA's traditional export flagship, produced to HG/T 3586. Export grade assay is held consistently above 98% with loss on drying below 1.5%, shipping regularly to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and South America. It serves as a key fluorinating agent in glass etching, metal surface treatment, boiler cleaning and rare earth extraction.

International trade names: Bifluoruro de amonio (Spanish), Bifluoreto de amônio (Portuguese), Бифторид аммония (Russian). Overseas buyers frequently search for this product under these local-language names.
